Our mission: raise money to cover the cost for play equipment, upgraded perimeter fence, landscaping, and a basketball goal for the teens! Every donation helps!
Homelessness is hard on anyone, but especially on children. Having a safe, cheerful outdoor space to play makes a difficult situation a little easier on the kids at Texoma Family Shelter. The current playground equipment is nearing the end of its useful life and nature has taken its toll on the landscaping and fences. This project aims to give the whole area a facelift and make it a fun and energizing space for the children in residence.
The Leadership Denison program educates, develops and empowers leaders in our local community. A service project is part of the curriculum. The 2024 Leadership Denison class has chosen Texoma Family Shelter's playground as their service project.
